Book Festival

The community brings together books and stories and the ideas that drive them, as well as the people, places and ideas behind them.
The Portland Book Festival brings more than 9,000 readers downtown each year to hear the stories of more than 100 authors of all genres. The festival offers a wide range of books, from fiction and non-fiction to poetry and poetry. In addition to an extensive book fair with writing workshops, poetry readings and readings by local authors, the Portland Books Festival also offers a variety of events for children, adults and young adults, as well as a number of workshops for adults.

The Miami Book Fair has teamed up with Sosyete Koukouy Miami, Inc. to present the Little Haiti Book Festival on Sunday, May 5, 2019. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at the Miami-Dade County Museum of Art from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a book festival with a wide range of books, poems, music, art, dance, film and more.

On the Teen Stage, YA fans can expect a panel discussion with guest authors and authors of fiction and non-fiction, as well as a Q & A session with the authors themselves. YA books can tell the truth to power, but they can also address difficult issues, as the next panel will show with books dealing with race, gender, sexuality, and death. Bethany C. Morrow and Shannon Gibney will discuss how YA is not just for young adults and what young readers stand for. Julie Berry, Peter Bognanni and Katharine McGee will join Julie to introduce their new books and discuss their books and their relevance to young people today.
John Micklos Jr. has written more than 50 children’s books, including the popular YA book series and books for young adults. Liz and Jimmy Reed are the authors of the bestselling book series “Liz & Jimmy” and “Jimmy & Liz,” respectively, and the authors of several other books.
What began as a web comic with doodles, dioramas and anthropomorphic food has evolved into books, animations and product design. Second-hand books and record bonanza sent hundreds of treasure hunters home with bargains galore, and thousands filled the exhibition halls to sift through more than 1,000 books and other books of all kinds on display throughout the day. It was a good day to be inside, with a wide selection of books, from children’s books to books for adults and children to books by authors and artists.
Other authors expected on the main stage included the author of “The Book of Love” and a host of other popular writers and artists. The day ended with a dynamic, dynamic poetry recital by the poet-in-residence at the Library of Congress, Robert E. Howard. He discussed the different approaches to popular styles and his thoughts on poetry as a medium.
At 11 a.m., the main stage was transformed into “Chase the Burning Girl,” a performance by the poet Robert E. Howard, “The Book of Love.
One of the reasons Colombia is such a vibrant and wonderful environment for book lovers is because of all the talented writers who live here. They travel around the country telling fascinating facts about our common creatures.
You can browse the stands and exhibitors, buy festive articles and participate in the independent authors fair, where local authors will present their works. You will be able to get to know and get to know the authors of these books, many different genres will be represented, and you will also be able to buy from them. Some of them are available to sign their books and you can meet them in person at the booth of the Book Festival in front of the National Library of Colombia.
Once again, the Boone Hospital Center has kindly granted festival-goers the right to use the parking lot in front of the National Library of Colombia on the first Saturday of each month for the festival. The public can use it on Saturdays, but also on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
